| Triple Threat Presents Flavor of the Month
The three DJs comprising Triple Threat (Apollo, Shortkut, and Vinroc) pack a phat-beat turntablist wallop that takes old skool hip hop into new, surprising, and booty-shaking territories. One of the best DJ acts of the Coachella Festival two years ago, Triple Threat popped up on a tasty X-ecutioners record and in March finally released Many Styles, an appropriately titled disc blending rapping, dancehall reggae, and superscratch. This unusual show — dedicated to electro, freestyle, and bass — launches a Triple Threat residency at the Milk Bar, wherein they tackle a different musical genre each month.
